1950’s Magazines & Newspapers

Putting together reminiscence packs for care of elderly units has not been as easy as first thought.

Copyright on old publications back until 1923, reprinting publications on materials that can be wiped and disinfected…

But fun to find date appropriate original items such as 1950’s magazines and newspapers. Picking up more 1950’s items tomorrow.

I know a few of my friends still in the nursing field. Any suggestions regarding what to place in the packs?

I’m also including original pre decimal coins, stamps, advertisements…

I’ve checked what packs are available for occupational therapists to buy, was not impressed. I am hoping to make it more appropriate by including tangible objects from the period.
